Jann and Cricket Melfi, a couple perpetually struggling to find steady work, fancy themselves as home renovation “gurus” and are convinced they’re destined to become the next big stars in home design television. However, their aspirations for cable TV stardom take a wild turn when they are abducted by a drug cartel and compelled to refurbish the cartel members’ expansive residences.
